The George & Helen Mahon Memorial Scholarship was founded in 1985. 
Qualifications for the scholarship:
Scholarship will be awarded to a student from Mitchell County
Recipient must be a full time student (12hrs)
Recipient must repay if the student withdraws from college or fails to complete 12 semester hours with at least a 2.5 GPA
Selection is made by the Financial Aid/Scholarship Committee
