Tressa Stephens, Academic Advisor and Testing Coordinator
Did you know that many of our WTC employees are also alumni?
This quarter, we focus on Tressa Stephens, Academic Advisor and Testing Coordinator. Stephens is a '93 graduate of WTC.
Here's what she said about WTC in her own words:
"Attending WTC was the smartest academic decision I ever made! There were so many people that helped me on campus.
"Kathy Hall in financial aid was very helpful in finding scholarships and financial aid that I was eligible to receive. What I thought was just a good financial decision turned into me getting a top-notch education right here 'at home.'
"I had some of the very best instructors that ever taught here. Dr. Franklin Pruitt was my favorite instructor. He made learning history so memorable and engaging, and I will never forget his passion and enthusiasm. Dr. Edward Barkowsky, Dr. Gil Fleer, Dr. Jana Martin, John Gibson, and Bill McGlothin were also outstanding instructors. I always felt heard and important.
"I was well prepared when I transferred to Texas Tech to continue my education.
"Coming full circle and now working here at WTC is such a blessing.
"I feel honored that I graduated from WTC and now work here to help students in their education.
I am proud to be a Westerner!"
