College Sports America named WTC Alumni Elliot Groves its new Golf Manager and CEO.
College Sports America’s mission is to help student athletes to make their dreams come true through a sports scholarship at an American university.
He attended WTC from 2008 to 2010, graduating with an Associate of Arts degree in history.
“I felt like I really connected with my coach,” says Groves about his time at WTC.
In addition to his coach, Cody Cox, the weather, the facilities, and the level of golf being played in the U.S. enticed Groves to choose WTC.
“Coach promised me that if I performed well then, I would end up at a university where I could take my golf beyond the level I was currently–this came to fruition after playing the two best golfing seasons of my life. I ended up committing to Oklahoma City University to complete my bachelor’s degree in economics.”
Groves says his time in America inspires him want to help provide young athletes with the same opportunies he had.
“After graduating with no student debt along with having the majority of my fees covered throughout my four years thanks to a scholarship, I was given the chance of a lifetime to pursue my sport without compromising my education.”
