WTC Foundation Selects First Recipients for Inspire Program

The Western Texas College Foundation is excited to announce the first ever recipients of the newly established WTC Foundation Inspire Program.

Snyder—The Western Texas College Foundation (WTC Foundation) is excited to announce the first ever recipients of the newly established WTC Foundation Inspire Program.

The WTC Foundation Inspire Program provides a straightforward method for staff and faculty to directly request funds from the WTC Foundation for projects supporting education and cultural activities or campus improvements and development. As an institutionally-related foundation, all projects directly relate to Western Texas College and are administered by the College.

This year’s fall Inspire Program recipients include four projects:

  • Classroom Whiteboard Upgrades for Building 6, spearheaded by Jessica Colvin, WTC Agriculture Instructor, replaces outdated chalk boards with new whiteboards
  • WTC Facebook Training, by Lorenzo Sands, Director of Marketing, provides in-depth training on social media, specifically using Facebook to its greatest advantage
  • Wind Energy Education Expansion by Marina Gonzales, Wind Energy Curriculum Development Specialist, will purchase needed software and additional model wind turbine kits
  • An Instructional 3D Printer, a joint effort between Patrick Schneider, Art Instructor, Marina Gonzales, Wind Energy Curriculum Development Specialist, and Dana Fahntrapp, Petroleum Technology Instructor.

Each project was fully funded. A total of over $11,600 was awarded.  The WTC Foundation plans for a second round of awarding in the spring of 2017.
